Ignorance is the biggest challenge and limitation with the rural communities for which they are being hassled and oppressed over the years. Having no access to information, knowledge about their rights and entitlements, people become vulnerable and at risk for exploitation.
Understanding the nuisance capacity building has been an integral component of UGAM’s overall working. People are being disseminated information through various trainings and workshops on Entrepreneurship development, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Organic Farming, Forests Right Act, MNREGA, Biodiversity Act, Para Veterinary together with various skill based like tailoring, Poultry farming, Goat rearing, envelop making, Candle making.
There was a growing need of the community wherein beyond the information people desired to learn more about how to progress further economically. Meeting this need, it was envisioned to have a common platform where skill based and technical expertise be provided in areas of Business Development Planning, Value Chain and Market linkages.
With the support of GGP Japan Consulate, ‘Sustainable Livelihood Promotion Training Centre’ has been constructed which can provide accommodation for 100 residential and 500 non- residential people.
